Gilbert’s Youth Center
Gilbert's Youth Center is a place for all Junior and Senior High (grades 7-12) students from the South Charleston area. Students can come hang out with their friends, grab a snack, or play games like pool, ping pong, foosball, and basketball. Gilbert's is staffed with college-age students or adult volunteers
and is located at the corner of Chillicothe and Mound Streets (right across the street from Shoemaker's).
The Youth Center is open everyday after school from 3PM to 5PM. Everyone is welcome to stop on by to play some games or get some homework done on the new "Coffee Shop" side, a.k.a Gilbert's Grounds.
NOTE: If school is closed for holidays or snow days, so is Gilbert's!
Gilbert's is also the weekly meeting place for all sorts of Youth Ministry programs, including REAL 120, Young Life Club, Young Life Campaigners, and 7:24.
Last but not least, Gilbert's is open after every Southeastern Varsity Home Football Game until 11:30PM for all Senior High Students, and on every other Saturday night from 7:30PM to 9:30PM for Junior High students beginning September 17th.
