FPC Youth Mentoring

Welcome!
Thanks so much for your interest in Youth Mentoring here in the South Charleston Community. Our church is passionate about kids growing up strong in their relationship with the LORD, and one-on-one mentoring is one of the best ways we know to help reach this goal.
If you would like to become a Youth Mentor, please click HERE to access an inquiry form that will let us know a little more about you.
After you fill out the form, you'll be sent an application and more specifics about the program itself. Following the application process, if we find that you're a good fit for becoming a mentor, then we'll seek to match you with a youth in our community within a couple of weeks.
If you are interested in securing a Youth Mentor for your child, or if you want to recommend a child for the Youth Mentoring Program, please click HERE to contact Dave Clem, the FPC Youth Director.
As soon as we find a good mentor for your child or the child you recommended, we will contact you with more details about the next steps! Please understand that we will try to match students with mentors as quickly as possible, but can only do this as more qualified adults volunteer to mentor! Your patience in this process is much appreciated.
Have any questions? Please click on our FAQ page for more information about Youth Mentoring through First Presbyterian Church.
Thanks for partnering with us in our vision for youth ministry: "That every kid would know, love and trust Jesus Christ through caring relationships."

The following is a great clip from a video made by The Mentoring Project concerning the inherent worth and critical necessity for mentoring in the lives of kids. We're not affiliated with TMP, but we are grateful for their playful and meaningful articulation of this important cause.
More video clips and materials about mentoring will be posted on this page in the future, so check back often!
