Youth Work Days
We believe that as a community of youth that are seeking after the heart of Jesus, we are called to serve those around us in a real and tangible way. Every now and then (at least once or twice per school semester) there will be an opportunity for our youth to get out there and serve people in our community- Youth Group Work Days!
So far for individual work days, we have: worked at a Homeless Shelter in Springfield hanging drywall, tore down an old greenhouse shed in South Charleston and cleaned/painted a home in Clifton!

In June of 2011, a group of 10 youth and leaders from FPC had the opportunity to serve 5 different Springfield non-profits in 5 days! For this Summer Mission Trip we spent our nights at Covenant Presbyterian Church, and worked with the Safe Harbor House, Habitat for Humanity Restore, Interfaith Hospitality Network Homeless Shelter, Changing Lives Now and the Springfield YMCA. The week was an incredible blessing, and we look forward to serving these valuable organizations again soon.
If you'd like to be part of Youth Work Days, or have suggestions of people or organizations we can serve in the year to come, please contact Dave Clem.
